Yes. As minors, teens are required to have permission to attend, and registration helps ensure the safety of participants.
Free to Be is NOT a therapy group or counseling service. It is a social, community‑based space designed to be relaxed, safe, and welcoming. While we strive to be inclusive and affirming, we are not equipped to provide crisis intervention, therapy, or clinical mental health support.
There is no cost to attend. Participation and activities are free of charge.
Activities vary but often include art or craft nights, game nights, Bingo, seasonal or themed activities, etc.
Free to Be meets on the fourth Friday of every month.
For safety reasons, location is only disclosed once registration is received. You will be notified about upcoming meeting details, including location, via email.
We abide by these simple rules to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.

2. No inappropriate language.
3. Respect personal space of others.
4. BE KIND.
Absolutely. Many teens come for the first time without knowing anyone. We make it easy to ease in, introduce yourself slowly, and join in when you’re comfortable.
Compassionate and trusted adult volunteers lead the program. All leaders are required to have background checks.
Free to Be activities are designed specifically for teens, so parents/guardians do not stay during gatherings. However, parents/guardians are permitted to stay in a waiting area if they wish.
